The truth about marriage!

I remember many years ago, when my mum will say in yoruba language that “ile oko, ile eko ni” literally meaning “your husband’s house is a place for learning”. I was a teenager at the time and marriage was the last thing on my mind…so I called her bluff….typical teenager stuff and wondered what on earth I would probably learn in my husband’s house. I mean she already taught me how to cook, clean and be a lady. *winks*

Some years later, I found out about love, started dating and couldn’t wait to be married. She echoed it once again and this time I really must have chuckled out loud. I mean, I was filled with love with my knight in shinning armour was showering me with affection and other fun things associated with dating…hehehehehehe.

2013 Prophecies from Apostle Johnson Suleiman

According to the Prophet, these are not prophecies given out of personal interest or animosity but are direct words from the Holy spirit. If prayers are made negative prophecies can be averted.
1.      House of Representative to lose some members to death, prayers needed
2.      Alhaji Bamanga Tukur will be the last united PDP Chairman, as there will be great in-fighting in PDP.
3.      There will be major boom and breakthrough in the agriculture this year
4.      CNN will lose major staff.
5.      Nollywood will keep losing people unless prayers are made and repentance; Many have gone fetish and there is high rate of immorality. I see three major stars dying this year unless prayers are made.

I came across the Fat Flush drink on PositiveMed

This drink was featured on The Biggest Loser along with other weight loss tips. You should drink at least three 8 oz glasses per day, they say the longer it sits, the better it tastes. You can eat them as well but they are intended as flavoring and still work, so that is a personal choice. The Vitamin C turns fat into fuel, the tangerine increases your sensitivity to insulin, and the cucumber makes you feel full. Try it for 10 days and see what you think!

The Lyrics To ‘Nothing Like Us’:

Lately I’ve been thinkin’, thinkin’ ’bout what we had
I know it was hard, it was all that we knew, yeah.
Have you been drinkin’, to take all the pain away?
I wish that I could give you what you, deserve
‘Cause nothing could ever, ever replace you
Nothing can make me feel like you do.
You know there’s no one, I can relate to
And know we won’t find a love that’s so true.

Justin Bieber dethrones Lady Gaga on Twitter

In a perfect world, our most popular Twitterer might be a brilliant scientist, writer, philosopher or spiritual leader. In this world, he is an 18-year-old pop star with famous hair.

On Monday night, Justin Bieber surpassed fellow singer Lady Gagato become the most-followed person on Twitter. As of Tuesday morning, The Biebs had more than 33,333,000 followers, while Gaga was closing in on 33,329,000. Nigerian billionaires planning to buy private jets have been stopped from doing so as the Federal Government has suspended the importation of private airplanes, helicopters and other lighter aircraft into the country. Sources in the Ministry of Aviation said the suspension, which took effect a few months ago, would continue until the formulation of a new policy on importation of private jets and helicopters. The sources revealed that the new policy, currently being drafted by the ministry, would take into cognisance several issues regarding the importation of private jets into the country. Top government officials, however, said the Aviation ministry had yet to determine when work on the policy would be completed and, as such, there was no definite date for the removal of the suspension.

Shocking earnings of Yoruba movie stars

Quite a number of perks come with being a movie star in this part of the world. They include designer clothes, luxury cars and posh apartments. Apart from their penchant for such status symbols, today’s Nollywood actors and actresses are also seen as role models, especially to the young and impressionable who dream of becoming stars some day.
But, judging by the results of a recent investigation conducted by Saturday Beats, it appears all that glitters is not gold, after all.
Contrary to popular opinion, the life of the average Yoruba movie star is that of constant ‘suffering and smiling’.
In spite of the fabulous profiles and immense goodwill enjoyed by some of these celebrated screen gods and goddesses, the contents of their bank accounts are really nothing to be cheerful about.
Even the ‘alarming’ increase in the volume of home video films produced in Yoruba language ought to be sufficient to improve the bank balances of such celebrities. To make matters worse, many of them suffer from a financial disease known as ‘Withdrawal Symptom.’ In fact, it is no longer news that a good number are regular visitors to ATMs.

Stop disgracing Igbo girls! – Blogger writes letter to Cossy Orjiakor & Tonto Dikeh

A blogger, Ngozi Kanwiro (www.ngozikanwiro.blogspot.com) has called for the ban of Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh and singer, Cossy Orjiakor for what she described as their ugly and dirty lifestyle.
According to the blogger, “You two may be thinking that you are on top of the game, but you are only causing yourselves more harm than good.”
She went onto urge them to turn a new leaf or face the spiritual consequences. No, we’re not kidding. Please find the open letter below:
The unscrupulous lifestyles of Igbo NOLLYWOOD Actresses, Cossy Orjiakor and Tonto Dikeh are just becoming too unbearable.
This duo has ignorantly and intentionally refused to stop their no-longer interesting/entertaining lifestyles that are now tarnishing the image of the Igbo female group as a whole.
It is so disheartening how Cossy has continued to tarnish the image of our Igbo sisters through her dirty lifestyles that now give all Nigerians the impression that Igbo ladies are all prostitutes using their bodies to climb to the ladder of fame in all works of life, whereas in reality, it is not true, rather it is being practiced by few unscrupulous Igbo girls who have nothing else to offer to the Nigerian society aside exposing their God-given feminine physique in sexual-appealing manner to gain popularity, and by giving out their supposed holy-bodies to men (married and single) so long as he can pay the price.

The fairytale world Kim Kardashian seems to live in might not have always been a dream come true.
The 32-year-old reality star revealed to “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie two days ago that, like her little sister, Khloe Kardashian Odom, she’s struggled with fertility issues.

“Khloe has been very open about her fertility issues and I think I was always really kind of quiet about mine, and I have similar issues, and so it was a pleasant surprise when so many doctors were telling me one thing and then the opposite happens," she shared. "That’s an exciting moment; you can’t plan for things like that. So I think it's just such a blessing knowing my circumstances."

Hmmmmm, Horsemeat found in hamburgers in Britain and Ireland

The discovery of horse DNA in hamburgers on sale at supermarkets in Ireland and Britain is testing the appetite of meat lovers there.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland said Tuesday that 10 out of 27 hamburger products it analyzed in a study were found to contain horse DNA, and 23 of them tested positive for pig DNA.

The horse-tainted burgers, on sale at several different supermarket chains, came from two meat processing plants in Ireland and one in Britain, the Irish authority said.

"This raises concerns in relation to the traceability of meat ingredients and products entering the food chain," it said, but noted that the findings posed no risk to public health.

Fire razes section of Ikeja City Mall

Business activities at the mall were disrupted at Ikeja City Mall, Lagos, on Tuesday as a fire burnt down some sections of the mall.
While there was no casualty and property worth billions of naira was salvaged, the incident disorganized some of the customers and workers at the Mall, who were stranded in the rush for safety.

Okey Bakassi's letter to God.....you should read it!

I found Okey's letter very funny and serious at the same time.......Have a look!

Dear Almighty Sir,

I don’t know what time it is in your area so I’ll simply say good day Sir. I’m very grateful for making me experience 2013 and I’m sorry for all my sins in 2012.
I would have promised not to sin in 2013 but I don’t want to lie because you already know my future.

Please help me be a better and more successful person this year. Also protect and bless my family, friends and fans.

I hereby present some personal issues before you: 1. Will Nigeria be better this year or ever? If no I seek your approval to go and take up citizenship somewhere else but if yes be fast before they empty our treasury and our oil wells run dry.

Meet the man who’s been to heaven 4 times: He’s met Jesus, Moses, Abel, draws map (PHOTOS)

What wont we hear????

64-year-old Sibusiso Mthembu, from the South African KwaZulu-Natal tells it in all seriousness. And who knows, he may even be telling the truth about having visited heaven four times, so far. The first time was in 1998, and subsequent visits were made in 2004, 2006, and 2008. It all started in 1993, when a white man (an angel, apparently) paid him a visit and told him he was needed in heaven. And now, after several visits, he’s drawing a map to make sure the rest of us ‘unlucky’ ones get what he’s talking about.
But it’s not the fact that he took a few vacations to heaven or even that he’s drawing a map that amuses me. It’s more to do with the stuff he says he’s seen and done there. According to Mthembu, there are 11 heavens in all, and he was taken to the fifth one, Crista, first. It was there, in a city called Sharmoy, that he claims to have met Jesus.

Prophesies for 2013...RCCG, MFM & The Synagogue Church

The General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said that the New Year will be better than 2012, just as he said that Nigerians must pray fervently over some issues.

Pastor Adeboye added that the Federal Government must learn from past floods and major disasters witnessed in the country last year and take decisive precautions to avert a repeat, otherwise the country might be plagued with another set of major disasters.

Also, except prayers are intensified, prominent Nigerians may lose their lives just as it happened last year.

These and more were the prophecies Pastor Adeboye rolled out during the crossover service held at the Redemption Camp, Kilometre 46, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, in the wee hours of Tuesday.
