Jay Z Dispels Rumours About Beyonce’s Pregnancy

Jay Z has addressed the many controversies trailing his wife, Beyonce after she was recently spotted at a dinner party in a tight gown that showed what most thought was a baby bump.
‘Absolutely not. No. Not in one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight or nine months’, he told American entertainment site, E!.
Meanwhile, Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles reportedly confessed to harrassing the 31-year-old singer about more children, ‘Of course I do! I harass her all the time…It’s gonna happen when it’s time, but not right now’, she said.
The duo got married in April, 2008 and had their first baby, Ivy Blue on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Lennox Hillhospital, New York. They’ve told those close to them they’re definitely having more babies – it just might not be so soon.

6 Signs Your Relationship Is Heading Toward Marriage

You love him. He loves you. You feel like he’s the one. So how do you know if you’re moving toward marriage? These six indicators should clue you in.
You talk about a specific future that involves each other.
Sure, you two have mentioned that you both want kids, one of the things you must know about each other before you get engaged, but have you gone into more detail?
When your boyfriend says to you, “I’d like to have kids a few years after you finish your master’s,” he’s talking about a future with you, and not just some great beyond where he has a theoretical wife with whom he can make babies.
You speak in “when”s, not “if”s.
If your guy starts sentences with, “When we get married,” he’s made up his mind: He wants you to be his wife. You may not get engaged the next day, or even the next year, but if your relationship stays on its current trajectory after a statement like that, your marriage will have that man in it.

Birthdays come once in a year...so does mine!!!!

Today is my birthday......how time flies. I can remember how on the first day of January the 26th of September seemed so far away and suddenly, the day is here. Hmmmm, it is quite surprising that I have not been so excited at the thought of my birthday like the previous years. As far back as 3 years ago, it was compulsory for me to have a little get together for my birthday but all of a sudden, I am just content with thanking God for another year added to my life. I will attribute this to my close to 30years crisis once again but it doesn't leave out the fact that I am expecting cakes and presents though.

14 year old orphan becomes youngest university student in Zimbabwe!!!

We often hear stories of young children excelling so well in their studies that they garner international recognition for their hard work. At young ages, they surpass their peers in their academic work and attain heights only common amongst people much older than them.
Some call them whiz-kids, some call them geniuses, some call them wonder kids.

As CNN reported, Maud was born on November 19, 1997. She lost both parents at a tender age and grew up in “grinding poverty”. However, she has defied all odds and now has her name written in history as the youngest ever university student in Zimbabwe!
She recently earned a four-year scholarship of nearly $10,000 after scoring 12 points at her Advanced Level exams last December. Her astonishing feat earned her a place at the University of Zimbabwe and she has just started her studies toward a Bachelor of Accountancy Honors Degree.

Massive demand awaits Friday's iPhone 5 sale

According to CNN, the pre-order response to the iPhone 5 has been massive, outstripping expectations of analysts, who were bullish on Apple's latest smartphone to begin with, and apparently of Apple itself.

Apple received more than 2 million pre-orders in the first 24 hours, double the number it got for last year's record-setting iPhone 4S release, the company said.

Apple's initial promise to ship pre-ordered phones in a week, the same day they become available at Apple Stores and other retailers, was pushed back just an hour after pre-orders opened up at midnight Thursday.

Nigeria Tops the World List as one of the Fastest Growing Private Jets Markets

It is true that wealthy Nigerians like living the big life; the big houses, posh cars and now trending - private jets. A recent investigation by Punch has shown that wealthy Nigerians have spent a sum of $6.5bn (N1.02tn) on private jets in the last five years. This luxury trend has risen by a significant 650 percent in the last five years. Between 2007 and 2012, private jet ownership has grown from 20 to 150. This reveals that wealthy Nigerians have acquiried at least 130 jets worth up to N1.02tn in the last five years.

You might ask why I’m interested in this story. In every society, the gap between the rich and the poor is often startling and Nigeria is no different. With a large percentage of the population having no access to basic education, average shelter, food, clothing and living under $1 dollar daily, it is quite interesting to note that a growing number of people are “fortunate” enough to spend up to $50m on a brand new private jet.
A private jet costs between $40m and $65m. A brand new Bombardier Challenger 604, one of the most commonly used private jets in the country costs about $55m.

Apple unveils iphone 5

Apple today unveiled a thinner, taller, faster iPhone 5 at a highly anticipated event in San Francisco.
The device, which is 18% thinner and 20% lighter than the iPhone 4S, is the thinnest smartphone in the world, according to Apple. With a four-inch screen, the iPhone 5 allows for five rows of apps -- one more than previous versions of the device, which sported a 3.5-inch screen.
Apple said the iPhone 5's processor speed is twice as fast as the previous version, an advance made possible by the company's new "A6" chip.
The iPhone 5 is also the first Apple smartphone to have 4G-LTE network connectivity, which allows for speeds of up to 10 times faster than 3G, or about the same as the average home broadband connection.

Driving in Lagos!!!!

I used to say that I liked driving until I got to Lagos. Who would blame me, anyone who has had to drive in one of the terrible traffic deadlocks in Lagos, in a manually operated automobile, will definitely agree with me. For the benefit of those who do not know Lagos, though I would doubt if anybody doesn't. Lagos is the commercial hub of Nigeria, so you can imagine the level of activity in the city during the weekdays. There are some places in Lagos that one would not dare drive to, because you can be sure that you would spend the whole day there. It is our own little Paris, London or New York.... I mean it!

Unfortunately for me, when I moved to Lagos, I was living on the Lekki-Epe axis. Oh yea, but I actually told people I lived in the Lekki axis of the Lekki Epe axis...lol otherwise, no one will visit me. It is until they decide to actually visit  that I explain to them that my area is actually called Ibeju Lekki. Anyways, by the time they drive past the famous Lagos Business School and I still mention that my house is about 10mins away at 120km/hour, we both conclude that I stay closer to Epe than Lekki. It was my little joke. Nice digression....

She was reacting to the strong condemnations from the family members of the victims of the crash, after the FG restored the airline’s operating licence on Wednesday.

French Firm Fined 500,000 Euros for Bribing Nigerian Officials

A Paris court Wednesday fined French aeronautics and defence group, Safran, 500,000 Euros ($630,000) for inducing top government officials in Nigeria to award it the $214 million national identity card project contract in 2001, the Parisian-based newspaper, Le Monde, reports.
The alleged offences were committed by a former electronics firm, Sagem, which won the Nigerian contract.
The company merged with another firm, SNECMA in 2005, to form Safran.
The judge, Renaud Van Rymbeke, upheld the prosecutors’ submission that between 2000 and 2003, the company executives bribed  the officials, including the then Minister of Internal Affairs, Chief Sunday Afolabi, and his successor, Alhaji Mohammed Shata, and former Minister of Labour, Hussain Akwanga to win the contract to produce 70 million national identity cards.
The judge, however, rejected the plea to convict former commercial engineer of Sagem in Nigeria, Jean-Pierre Delarue, 65, then a sales manager with the company in Nigeria, and Francois Perrachon, 57, then the company’s director for identification systems in Paris, because the prosecutors had not proved that they “had personal knowledge of the facts of corruption.”
He dismissed the request to impose a suspended sentence of between 15 and 18 months in prison on them or fine them 15,000 Euros each.
Safran, 30 per cent state-owned, said it would appeal, adding, “Safran would like to point out that it is deeply attached to the strict respect of anti-corruption rules.”
Foreign corruption rulings against big French companies are rare in France. A report from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) that was leaked in July said French authorities lacked the resources to fight possible corruption in big export contracts.
Prosecutors had originally sought to have the Safran case dismissed, but did not lodge any formal request at the trial in June.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2001 had accused SAGEM executives of bribing the government officials ranging from 24,000 to 40,000 Euros to win the $214 million identity card contract.
The late Afolabi, who had championed the national identity card project for the 2003 general election, was arrested by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) on December 5, 2003, during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
Shortly after his arrest, Afolabi was arraigned along with Shata, Akwanga and others for demanding bribes of about $2 million from Sagem, in addition to receiving various gifts, including Rolex watches, to award the contract to the French firm.
He and the other accused were granted bail on December 31, 2003. Afolabi died of cancer in London in May 2004.
In June 2004, the court dropped all charges against him.
