Danny DeVito And Wife, Rhea Perlman Split After 30 Years Of Marriage

One of Hollywood's longest-lasting couples, Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman, have separated.
Thirty years after saying "I do," the pint-sized personalities announced through a spokesperson on Monday that they are separating.
DeVito, 67, and Perlman, 64, met in 1970 when she went to see a friend in an off-Broadway play, "The Shrinking Bride," according to People Magazine. After the show Perlman went out to eat with the cast, which included DeVito. Instantly smitten, they moved in together two weeks later, but waited until January 1982 to marry. They have three adult children — Lucy, 29, Grace, 27, and Jacob, almost 25.

In July, DeVito talked about the secret to a long-lasting marriage. "You both have to want the same things," he told The Big Issue. "If you're going to be compadres, friends for ever, you have to be considerate and make many concessions to be able to live together.
