Diary of a Lagos working housewife - Part 2

Continued from Part 1
I have been accused of the fact that I am very melodramatic. I ran outside to meet him so we can discuss the phone call that I just received. In all fairness, he gave me the phone to receive the call but even at that, I still have to know who Elizabeth is. Abi??? Before I got to him sha, I composed myself, I mean, I sha know the man I married.
Me: DH, who is Elizabeth from Ajah
DH: You have started again abi.
Me: I am serious, I just received a call from her (If only he knew how hard I am trying not to scream and shout!!! How did she get your phone number , why is she calling you on a Saturday, you better start talking!!!!!)
DH: I don’t know who she is…seriously
Me: (Wide eyed)….so how did she get your number
DH: I cannot remember
Me: Hmmmmmmm
DH: You don’t believe me, do you!
Me: Of course I don’t!!!!!!!
Seriously!!!!! Then he goes ahead to call the number under my heavy stare. Guess who called!!!!! The akara seller’s daughter…huh huh!!! The one that has been doing shakara when it comes to giving him extra stew.  So apparently, she noticed he had not been coming to buy akara and was calling to find out why.
Me: yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I don die…..Omo alakara ke??? I quickly went into my you betrayed me mood. How could you? How did she get your number in the first place, why is she calling you!!!
DH: I gave it to her, because she asked for it.
Me: So you give every T,D and H your number. Hmmmm .  By the way, why is she calling on a Saturday???? I mean she could have called you during the week and I wouldn’t know any better. Or do you guys have a rendenvous?
DH: There you go again, I didn’t expect that she was gonna call me. I don’t wanna fight oh
Me: Hmmmmm hmmmmm, I don’t wanna fight either.
Anyways, we sha sorted it out, frankly I am not sure what happened afterwards. DH said he sent the girl a text et all because I adviced it wasn't nice to call her immediately. I just let the matter rest. But guess what, it is another morning, and I didn’t make him breakfast and I haven’t done so  for a while. So I said a silent prayer that akara should be repulsive to him. Hehehehehehehe
I dragged myself out of bed and heard some little ruckus outside,  that means my driver has resumed for the day. How I heaved a sigh of relief!!! He has been ill for some 5 days now, but if truth be told, I was glad he had resumed because I have had it with Lagos roads. But my driver’s gist is not for today…………..
PS: My hubby says I portray him as a villain on my blog, do you agree with him.
