AFCS Ibadan - Jewels in the Jungle

Those who make great impacts in our lives can never be forgotten. It seems just like yesterday that I graduated from my Alma mater, Air Force Comprehensive School, Iyana Offa Ibadan. I remember a little bit about our Valecdictory service with Flight Commander B M Ojebola in 1999. His speech to us was very touching. Even if I cannot recollect most of it, he gave us a manuscript which I read over and over. There was a part I have not forgotten till now.......

'You are now the sailor of your life's ship
The pilot of your own flight in life
You cannot afford to sink or crash.....'

Those words have stayed with me for a long time....I forgot them for a while but they crept into my thoughts today. I remember reading that note over and over again, especially when I needed to be motivated. At the time we did not appreciate his approach much but years later, I look back with a smile and say a silent thank you to him for his disciplinary skills.

I have no doubt that my fellow Jewels of the Jungle are ruling the world....All it really takes is a PHD!!!!
