I remember sometimes in 2008, I had a phone call from one of my friends whom I had not heard from for quite a while. But because I was sleeping, I didn't pick the call with the thought that she will call back later. I never returned the call and some days later, I heard she was involved in an accident that claimed her life. I am yet to get over the guilt of not picking my phone on that fateful day because it clicked that maybe it was the day of the accident, I was very far away but who knows what help I could have rendered to save her. Some people call us because they need us urgently!!!!
Pick up your phone when you are called, Call people when you feel the urge to.....they really might be glad that you called! Please make that call.
I could not wait to add a comment when I read this article. strange coincidence. I was on the bb chat few minutes before I started reading M-nat's blog. I tried to console a close friend who just lost his dad two days ago.Guess what? His deep regret and guilt was that he saw his dad missed call on his phone 15mins before death conquered but he was too busy to return the call. Unfortunately, that was his last chance to speak to his dad. I totally agree with you m-nat, it's an area we need to work on. cheers
